Happy First of July!  I just want to let you all know that we have created another site to post pictures and I am certainly tempted to do all of my writing there as well, so please visit us at www.nonaisabellee.shutterfly.com.  We will keep this blog for now but I am finding the shutterfly site more useful.  Love, Traci

Isabel's Daddy

I've finally managed to sit in front of the computer long enough to post something.  When Isabel was about 2 weeks old we ran out of the Pampers diapers featuring Sesame Street characters and started using Huggies diapers with Disney characters.  Ham came out after changing Isabel and said to me and my Mom, "Isabel has Tigger and Pooh on the outside of her diapers and teetee and poo on the inside of her diapers!"  This is just one of the many funny things Hamilton has said but I had to share this one!

Not much more to report in the last five days or so, except that she's more and more beautiful every day--but I wanted to take this opportunity to put up some more pictures (apparently you can only post four at a time unless someone knows something I don't).

In the past few days Isabel has had her first visit to the doctor (sans shot--she'll have an unpleasant surprise next time we visit, however), her first meal in public (a quick lunch at Green Papaya), her first walk, and countless adorable moments captured neither on film or video (and not for a lack of equipment). There are some pretty good shots included here, however, and we'll continue to update in the next few days.

Nona Isabel

For now, I'm just going to copy and paste the text of our original email below; when I've had more than 6 hours of sleep cumulative since Saturday (don't hold your breath) I'll add something more creative:

At 2AM on Saturday morning, Traci woke me up and gently indicated that we neeed to get to the hospital without observing any traffic laws; four and a half hours later we were holding our beautiful daughter in our arms--and Traci did all of this without so much as a Tylenol. Nona Isabel Lee ("Isabel") weighed in at 7 lbs 4 oz and measured 21 inches. She has a sweet disposition and a beautiful singing voice, and likes to sleep as much as her father, though she is a much earlier riser.

Mother, daughter, and father are all doing well, and all are of course ecstatic. The only challenge has been getting our laptop to communicate with Baylor's wireless network; as a result, we haven't been able to attach pictures and some of you might get this email twice--but when we're back at home we'll send out plenty of pictures. In the meantime, try to imagine me with less hair and a pink onesie. Thanks for all the kind wishes, and we can't wait for each of you to meet Isabel soon.
